Day 20 - 7/10

Today was another fun-filled day of Six Flags. This time, we went to Six Flags Great Adventure located in Jackson, New Jersey. This Six Flags is home to many record holding rides. El Toro is a wooden rollercoaster that has the greatest drop of any wooden rollercoaster in the world. For being wooden, the ride was actually pretty smooth. One could feel the G forces as the coaster curves left and right. Rides don't normally make me woozy, but by the end, my stomach was doing twists and turns. So, naturally we went again. They also had Bizarro. This was the original Bizarro and was not as intense as the one in Six Flags New England. Since there was virtually no line, we rode it a couple times. However, at the end of one, Nathan took out my sunglasses and accidently dropped them on the siding. Even though they were literally just twenty feet away, we weren't able to get them. Batman and Nitro were two rides that we had fun on. Batman does a loop and turns that ripples the riders cheeks as he or she is screaming. Nitro was built so that when riding, one couldn't tell what would happen next. Near the end it stopped, but then it promptly went into a series of ups and downs. Superman had the riders situated so that it seemed like one was flying. This ride was especially fun because on the loop, it felt like we were riding backwards. Every time we went, we could hear people's loose change falling to the ground. Next door was the Green Lantern. This was a standup coaster. Despite the loops and turns, this ride was not fun for me at all because the bar to hold people up was uncomfortable and strained my neck. Fortunately we waited only five minutes to go on it.
Perhaps the greatest ride of them all was Kingda Ka. This is a rollercoaster people brag about going on. It launches the rider up a record 45 stories at 128 mph. Meanwhile, the coaster is doing twists straight down. It ends with a smooth hill and terrified or satisfied riders. The entire day, Dad was debating whether or not he should go. We eventually tugged him along in line. In the beginning it takes your picture. Knowing that Dad would be freaking out, I posed for the picture by smiling while pointing at his face. At the end, Dad decided it was worth it and promptly went on with Mom. Mom enjoyed it as well. Mom and the girls went on a log water ride. Dad secretly put a quarter in the machine so that extra water would spray on them. Needless to say, it was funny to watch.
